About
Dr. Sarita K. Heer completed her Ph.D. in Art History at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014, and is an Instructor of Art History in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. Her area of expertise is India, 1850-Present. Her dissertation is titled “Re-Imaging Indian Womanhood: The Multiple Mythologies of Phoolan Devi.” Dr. Heer teaches a variety of survey courses as well as upper-level courses focused on Indian and Islamic Art.
